Introducing latest Aviationtag Edition, crafted from the rear section of a British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) 1-11 Series 500. Built in 1980 and originally delivered to British Airways as G-BGKE, this aircraft served at Manchester Airport for 11 years. In 1991, it was re-registered as ZH763 and joined the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency, where it conducted radar trial missions. In 2006, the aircraft was repurposed as a flying laboratory by QinetiQ, a multinational defense technology firm based in Farnborough.
After completing its final flight in 2013, the BAC 1-11 was displayed at the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre until its closure in 2022. The front fuselage was preserved by the Solent Sky Museum in Southampton, while the rear section has been repurposed into exclusive Aviationtags.
This unique aircraft tag celebrates the enduring legacy of the BAC 1-11, offering collectors and aviation enthusiasts a tangible piece of aviation history.
Important: Every aircraft skin blue tag of BAC 1-11 is unique. Tags may vary in the thickness, colour and haptics. Small irregularities tell of a plane’s long history and convey the feeling of its glory days in the sky.
This unique aircraft skin tag of BAC 1-11 in blue was designed and crafted by Aviationtag in Cologne, Germany.
